Join us for exciting online events where we explore effective strategies to support neurodiverse children and young people.
The ADHD Foundation Australia Team are delighted to announce a new online training program commencing in Term 1 2024 for educator’s designed to supply a valuable professional development opportunity for teachers, school support and teachers’ aides and other school staff. Our webinars will include a diverse range of subjects related to ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions providing a wealth of knowledge and insights to help you better understand and enable students with different learning needs.
Who should attend?
This Educational Series is suitable for both educators, school counsellors, teaching students teachers aide and parents of neurodiverse students. The session aims to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to create an inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse neurological abilities, while empowering and informing parents about these skills to continue that support at home.
These educational series will be delivered by highly trained experts in the field of teaching and education of children and young people with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Tourettes syndrome, along with co- occurring mental health challenges.
During these sessions you will learn from educational expertise about practical classroom strategies that every teacher can use from primary school to upper high school.

The ADHD Foundation Australia are delighted to partner with the ADHD Foundation UK and are grateful for their support. Since 2012, The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity have trained over half a million educators and teachers alike and are the largest provider of training in ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions for professionals in the UK.
These expert presenters are leading practitioners and trainers in the field of neurodiversity. They will share their insights and knowledge while drawing on the latest research and very best practices. You will have the opportunity to engage with, and exchange ideas and experiences during these sessions.

Colin Foley is the Training Director of the ADHD Foundation UK the largest ADHD charity in the UK and Europe. His work is grounded in empowering teachers to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people with ADHD.
After 25 years as a secondary school teacher and senior leader within education, Colin's work for the ADHD Foundation is grounded in empowering teachers to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people with ADHD and other neurodiverse learning needs. He raises awareness of specific symptomology related to conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Tourettes syndrome, along with co- occurring mental health challenges.

Reading, Writing and ADHD
Arron Hutchinson is a trainer and therapeutic practitioner at the ADHD Foundation UK. Following a five-year teaching career, Arron joined the ADHD Foundation to deliver therapeutic interventions for children and young people with a variety of needs, whether they have a diagnosis or ADHD or not.
Arron’s work for the Foundation also includes the delivery of high-quality education for school teachers, teachers’ aides, student teachers and any organisation where teaching and learning for children takes place. The ADHD Foundation are delighted that we can bring, a series of education that has been extremely successful across UK and Europe to Australia.
More and more children are facing educational challenges in the school environment, through attending these courses school will learn how best to support neurodiverse children and young people in the classroom.

Girls, Young Women and ADHD
Emma Weaver is the Deputy CEO of the ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity. Emma’s role is a member of the Educational Team and works alongside settings, parents and carers of children and young people presenting with traits of neurodevelopmental conditions.
Emma’s expertise in developmental psychology enables families, teachers and professionals to develop knowledge and skills to ensure that early intervention and support takes place for children with neurodevelopment conditions. Emma works collaboratively with families and professionals on jhow they can adapt the environmental factors in the home and school environment to optimize child development, learning and wellbeing. She raises awareness of specific symptomology related to conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Tourettes syndrome, along with co- occurring mental health challenges.
