Art Fundamentals Course at Puddleduck Vineyard May 2025

About This Event

Art Fundamentals is an 8-week beginner’s drawing and painting course designed to help you build a strong artistic foundation while gently nurturing your creativity. No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and an open heart.

 

🖌 Weeks 1–3: Drawing with Graphite

• Learn to create pleasing and balanced compositions

• Choose and develop a landscape scene to work with through the course

• Learn how to draw what you really see

• Learn how to create a sense of perspective in your drawing

• Master tonal shading to bring depth and feeling to your work

• Complete a tonal drawing of your chosen composition

 

🎨 Weeks 4–8: Acrylic Painting

• Learn to mix colours with confidence

• Understand how warm and cool versions of colours bring life and depth to a composition

• Explore brush techniques to create different effects

• Complete your own unique painting of your chosen composition on a stretched canvas to hang on your wall

 

This course is more than just learning techniques—it’s about making space for you. You’ll build your confidence, discover your creative rhythm, and connect with others on a similar path of rediscovery.

May: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

June: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

 

⏰ Time:

• Sessions 1–4: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

• Sessions 5–8: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

 

📍 Location
Puddleduck Vineyard’s undercover, heated deck area, perched over their duck-filled dam with vineyard views as the backdrop.

 

 

💰 Investment: $480 per person (+ booking fee)

 

 Includes:

• All art materials (including quality paints and a stretched canvas)
• 20 hours of personalised tuition in a small group
• A light lunch of your choice from the Puddleduck menu with each class

 

About Your Instructor

I’m Nicola—with a degree in Visual Arts (specialising in acrylic painting) and nearly a decade of experience in education, I’m passionate about helping people uncover their creative potential. I find so much joy in watching students grow in confidence and expression!

 

Cancellation Policy

•  Full refunds (minus booking fee) are available up to 7 days before the course starts
•  After that, your ticket can be transferred to another person up until the first class
