Church Safety Scenario Training January 25 2025

Update: this event will now be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, NOT January 18.

Please join us for this church safety team scenario training event! 

You can view videos from the past trianing on Teamwork, Encountering Suspicious People, De-escalation, When/How you can defend, and OC Spray training.

This time we will build on those foundations by learning basics on how to engage someone who becomes combative (when de-escalation does not work and disengaging is not an option).

Then you'll have a chance to practice your de-escalation skills, and if you would like, you can take part in active resistance scenarios. 

Schedule:

12 noon - 12:10pm: check in

12:15-1pm: Instruction on basics of engaging combative people

1-1:45pm: De-escalation scenarios

2-2:45pm : Active resistance scenarios  

Please:

• Wear clothes that you can exercise in and bring a bottle of water. 
• Make sure your finger and toe nails are clipped so you won't scratch anyone as we drill
• Leave any weapons at home or in your car - please don't bring them in Halo Jiu-Jitsu
