Fundraising Iftar Night

About This Event

Assalamu Alaikum and Kia ora!

Join us at our first official fundraising dinner to launch our registered charity, Convoys of Good. 

We will be raising funds to feed 500 families in Gaza. 

Agenda for the night:

6:45pm: Doors open

7:00: Welcome and official opening with keynote speaker

7:30pm: Adhan, prayer and dinner/iftar time

8:30pm: Dessert and quiz time

9:00pm: Auction

9:45pm: Wrap up and closing.

The iftar is generously catered by The Greek House, serving authentic Palestinian cuisine.

All profits from ticket sales, auctions, additional donations, will be donated to the charity we work with on the ground in Gaza.

The charity is called "Palestinian Family Development Charitable Association Palestine". They are based in Beit Hanoon, North Gaza.

More information about who we are

Registering a charity was not an easy process. We had to consult lawyers and the charities office also required a lot of details and evidence and what they say takes 3 months, took more than 9 months with our charity. To be approved as a registered charity gives us legitimacy alhamdolellah.

As mentioned above, we work with Palestinian Family Development Charitable Association Palestine. They themselves are a registered Palestinian charity based in Ghaza. We send the donations to them and they send us proof of the distribution of funds through food packs, water, clothing, tents, etc. The photos used in the poster in this event are not just for marketing purposes, these are real photos and evidence of the work being done.

There are currently 2 of us in the Trust.

Maya Swaid (Palestinian) - an active member of the Palestinian community who has been bringing awareness and raising funds for as long as anyone knows her.
