About This Event
Please join us for a morning where we will explore what it means to connect Scripture to everyday life. Together we will be looking at how we can support and encourage people to navigate life and its hardships biblically in both formal and informal counselling contexts.Â
Whether you are someone who would like to learn more about helping others, are involved informally in supporting others in your church or a professional counsellor, this morning will be a great blessing in equipping you in your care and ministry to those around you.Â
Morning tea provided.

Three local biblical counsellors:
Richard Suter: I trained in Biblical Counselling through CCEF, and have been counselling for 9 years, starting at Gosnells Baptist Church and Shalom House rehab. I’m now in private practice and I also spend time each week at Crossway Counselling Centre. Married to Sue, we have 5 adult children between us. How the gospel impacts everyday life issues must be explained simply and clearly. Biblical Counselling WA is a resource for that purpose.
Camille de Vos: I have been in the Biblical Counselling space for almost 6 years, first in establishing a resource centre for the Free Reformed Churches, before transitioning into private practice in 2023 when I completed my Masters in Counselling from Westminster Seminary/CCEF. I love to bring art and story into my counselling practice; I’m keen to use God-given creativity to express personal stories and understand how they fit into God’s big narrative for us.Â
Sarah Pomphrey: Originally from the UK, I have been involved in WA Christian high school education for over 15 years. I am moving slowly into Biblical Counselling after completing a Masters in Counselling from CCEF / Westminster Theological College in 2022. I’m keen to see more Biblical Counsellors both in lay and paid ministry in WA and to upskill churches, so that Christian communities can better help people in working out how Scripture meets our life struggle.

"People help people. God alone transforms. The opportunity to engage deeply with people having particular difficulties, and to rightly apply God’s word into the heart, is more precious than gold.
The insights and skills of wise Biblical Counselling (as taught by CCEF for instance) are unspeakably important, and the need for them is dramatically increasing."
