This workshop taster is an introduction to a comprehensive block course.

Jane and Belle met back in 2001 through their love of theatre and have been close friends since. They are very excited to join forces to bring you this exciting workshop taster, their first under the Uki Moon Theatre arts collaboration.

Jane began performing at high school, then U25 Theatre and Styx Performing Troupe in her 20’s. She trained comprehensively under Richard Hayes-Marshall (Le Coq) in physical theatre including character, mask, performing at festivals on stilts, Commedia dell’arte and European Clown.

Her training also including workshops with industry professionals at MTC (Vic), National Theatre Drama School (VIC) plus script ensemble for Melbourne Writers Theatre.

Her CV includes productions at The Athenaeum, La Mama Theatre, Theatreworks, Carlton Courthouse Theatre (VIC) & MTC Mur’bah, UMT, Uki plus a variety of guest roles in TV dramas and comedy.

Belle is a Performer, Author and Embodiment Coach for actors with many years’ experience in the Arts Industries as a Writer, Producer and Director of Theatre.

Her directing includes working with Neuro Diverse and protractile communities for multi-sensory interactive and physical theatre for public performance. (deaf/blind communities).
Her acting credits include working with Red Stitch Theatre, Playbox, La Mama and The Australian Shakespeare Company, TV including Sensing Murder (Channel7)

Her passion for bodywork took her to the USA to work with Gabrielle Roth and Jonathan Horan to study the 5Rhythms, a transformational movement meditation practice - leading to her creating ritual theatre pieces to inspire and catalyse change, shifting dynamics in rehearsal & performance.
